10000 Hungary sẽ hết hiệu lực sử dụng

Closing the exchange of forint banknotes – at the end of the year, the MNB will also inlude the old 10,000 forints banknotes

Closing the exchange of forint banknotes – at the end of the year, the MNB will also include the old 10,000 forints banknotes

The National Bank of Hungary will withdraw the old 10,000 HUF banknotes from the market on 31 December 2019, thus the exchange process for the modernization of forint banknotes started in 2014 will be completed at the end of this year.

As of December 31, 2019, the National Bank of Hungary absorbs 10,000 forints of old banknotes issued before 2014, so the renewal of the forint banknotes started five years ago.

The renewed version of the 10,000 HUF denomination is already well known to all players in the cash flow, including the public, since we can pay with the denomination since December 2014. In recent years, the new 10,000 forints banknotes have spread dynamically in the cash flow, so today 86 percent of the 10,000 forints in circulation are already being renewed.

Following the inclusion of the old version of the denomination, only the renewed HUF 10,000 banknotes will be available from next year, ie January 1, 2020.It is important to know that banknotes that have not been exchanged by the closing date will not lose their value because they can be redeemed free of charge – for the same denomination – legal tender for three years in each bank and post office and for twenty years at the central bank.
