Thailand introduces new banknotes

The Central Bank of Thailand has just announced the introduction of a new Thai Bath banknote series that will be officially introduced in April and July 2018.

The 17th Thai series is designed with the front depicting the new Thai king, King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, and the back featuring the kings of the Charki dynasty. Each denomination has an image of a king on the front and two parallel kings on the back.

This 17th Thai series includes the following Bath denominations: 20 Bath, 50 Bath, 100 Bath, 500 Bath and 1,000 Bath.
